Angela once again had the opportunity to see President Bush speak right here in Omaha, NE on February 4, 2005.    If you look right behind President Bush in this picture, there is Angela smiling proudly.

On January 19th, Angela traveled to Washington, D.C. to take part in President George W. Bush's inaugural events. On Wednesday, January 19th, there will be an Inaugural Concert at The Ellipse, the green area near the White House. Thursday, January 20th, Angela will attend the oath for Vice President Dick Cheney and President George W. Bush on the lawn of the capitol building. Following the Oath, Angela will go to the Inaugural Parade which goes along Pennsylvania Avenue. Later that evening, all the Inaugural Balls are held. That pageant dress will get some use beyond the stage after all! Finally, a National Prayer Service occurs Friday, January 21st at the National Cathedral. December 2004 December 5th - Angela Selzle, Miss Omaha spent the afternoon wrapping presents at One Pacific Place to help raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation.  Make A Wish will be wrapping at One Pacific Place through the holiday season so stop by and get your gifts wrapped while helping a good cause.  December 11th - Angela again was helping Make A Wish, this time at Oak View Mall doing some more giftwrapping.  It is awesome work to help people wrap special presents for their loved ones while raising money to support Make a Wish.  December 12th - Angela volunteered at the "Santa at the Southeast Precinct Celebration" in South Omaha.  This event, organized by the Omaha police Department, has become an annual affair and Angela had a great time doing crafts with children from the area.  Angela not only volunteered because of her Spanish language skills, but in memory of her grandfather who worked the Southeast precinct as a policeman for many years.
 
November 17th  -Angela Selzle, Miss Omaha 2005 took part in the UNO's American Democracy Project forum entitled "election 2004: "Continuity or Change" held on UNO's campus.  The American Democracy Project seeks to increase the civic engagement of its students, staff, faculty and administrators.  Its goal is to help fuel the development of an informed and contributing citizenry for the United States in the 21st Century.  This forum focused on the 2004 election and it simplications for the future.  November 20th - Passion for Fashion: Fashion Show fundraiser for Make a Wish sponsored by T'eez Salon, Club Nico and the Make A Wish organization.  Angela was involved in the set-up and the different events of the night.  All proceeds (tickets, Club Nico purchases, etc.) went to the Make a Wish organization.
